Our Practice

One dermatologist, two kinds of expertise.

Solstice Dermatology opened in Austin in 2011 to solve a common frustration: patients bouncing between a medical dermatologist for skin health and a separate med spa for cosmetic care. We built one practice that does both, well.

Meet Your Dermatologist

Dr. Marcus Whitfield, MD, FAAD

Board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD), Dr. Whitfield completed his dermatology residency at UT Southwestern and additional fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery. He has practiced in Austin for 15 years and personally performs every cosmetic injectable — not a rotating team of estheticians.

Why We're Different

Most practices force you to choose: a medical dermatologist who won't touch cosmetic work, or a med spa with no board-certified physician on-site. We built Solstice so the same clinician who screens your skin for cancer can also treat your fine lines — with full knowledge of your skin history either way.

Our Office

In-house dermoscopy and biopsy capability means most medical concerns are resolved in a single visit. Our laser and injectable suite is separate from our medical exam rooms, so cosmetic visits feel more like a spa than a clinic — free parking on Barton Springs Rd.
